Busy bouncing, please hold...

I'm dying to write a blog post, but I've just figured out a really cool bump skiing dryland workout with a bosu ball and two chairs, so instead, I'm watching JGS 4 on continuous loop while my boys "ski" around the living room and over the furniture and I work on this CORE stuff that feels sooooo goood... Rocky Mountain Assessment Trials in 37 Days!

Freaky...I'm watching JGS 4 myself when I decided to check on your site! Love this stuff (music is darn good too). I have 5 and 6 as well. I can feel this mental imaging working as I feel it seeping into my skiing a bit. Carving turns much better and my bump skiing I feel has been cranked up a notch or two. I would be very interested in seeing your dryland bump skiing workout. We're unfortunately coming up to the end of our season out here out east so I'll be thinking of dryland stuff to keep my skiing brain occupied. I've been blessed with the opportunity to work a bit w/ Eric Lipton for the last couple years. Phenom teacher and amazing skier. I've just been soaking up info and trying to put it on the snow. I'm loving this technical side of skiing lately, so I really enjoy reading your blogs and seeing how deeply you think about and analyze your skiing. I know you have to for the level you're shooting for. Two things/questions...1) In JGS 4, do you know the name of the guy in pink?? I get a kick out of his LR turns in the bumps. 2) you mentioned that you spent some time in the Beartooths on MT. Where specifically? I grew up in Billing MT and spend lots of time hiking and climbing in that area.

Keep up the hard work and blogs!!

Hey Scott! Thanks so much for reading! I DO know the name of the guy in pink, that is Richie Berger who was on the Austrian Demo team. You can find AMAZING footage of him if you look up "technical bumps moguls skiing" on You Tube. In fact, I'll put it up on the blog right now.

I did indeed ski the Beartooths and can't wait to get back out there. I'm hoping to put togehther a June trip out there again this year. I skied all the usual places, the Gardener Headwall, Reefer Ridge and what not, and hung out at Sam's Taproom (but I haven't been to the new place yet) there are some old videos and blogs about it up here somewhere...

I lived in bozeman for five years and taught skiing at Bridger Bowl, which is still one of my favorite places to ski.

And regarding JGS, well, yeah, I watch at least one of them every single day, especially as I get closer to a tryout or an exam. We are going out filming (well, I'm going out watching) this week, so hopefully there's another one in the making! Who knows!!
