Training Log: May 11: in which we find a dead deer

Hiked Kirk Hill as fast as I could to the Hodgeman Canyon trail, and, since I've never been down there, I decided to see where it went. Of course, I forgot my camera in the car, so I can't post a photo of the AMAZING full deer skeleton that Wya (my dog) and I found down by the creek in the canyon.

It was laying down on it's stomach, and it was picked clean to the white bone, except for the legs, which, from below the knee down had fur and the hoofs. Otherwise, the inhabitants of the Kirk Hill area had been eating well for a month on that thing! It was oddly beautiful to see.

Anyhow, it was a lovely hike. Gym later that night, chest day. Chest Press, Dumbell Flys, Bench Press, Front, Lat shoulder raises on one foot on the Bosu ball, rear delt cable pull on same, assisted pull ups, tricep pull downs, abs on the ball and incline bench. Shannon worked out to failure for the first time today! YEAH!
